A friend recently asked me, what to wear when she wants to impress but still wants to look like she didn’t try too hard. My answer was “Go to your closet and pick the most comfortable black dress you have and work with that and play with shoes and accessories”. Whenever you feel undecided about what to wear for any occasion, the best answer is a black dress! That seriously saved my night so many times! A first date, meet the parents dinner or anything you have going on and you are not sure about to wear, I promise you that a black dress is great option. Do you know why? Black looks good at any time of the day, you can use it with a colored blazer or fun shoes and accessories, this way you are able to dress up or dress down, an option of a natural make-up or dark lips can also change the whole look. Tonight, my boyfriend and I went out for dinner, so I put this gorgeous black dress with a white detail in the back from Picnic Sf Boutique, a pair of black chunky heels from Michael Kors and a white clutch from Zara. I just used my Tory Burch stone earrings and dark red lipstick to add a little drama to my classic look. Remember, sometimes is better to not try too hard to impress with your outfit, just wear something you are comfortable with and surprise people with your style by using a good pair of shoes or accessories or even wearing a dark make-up.
